Halloween or just for fun?

Connor got 2 Spiderman costumes for his birthday. Man, he is so excited. I tried telling him that one was for dress up and the other was for Halloween. Well, when your 5 years old, the rules apparantly don't apply to you, or so he thinks! I just didn't want him to ruin both of them before the big day. So, here we are, in the one we have picked for Halloween. I bargained with him (sad, I know) and he's wearing it as jammies until he goes trick or treating.

Ah, I can't wait for daddy to come back so I will at least have somebody on my side! :)

Ray's training like crazy!!

Well, Ray has been gone for 113 days now and he has been working 24/7 and training even harder. It has been very hot and muggy, raining and just plain miserable. However, he has been having some fun. They actually got 1 day off last month and he and a friend went to Savannah and hung out all day. They had a great time and were thrilled to actually eat "real" food.

Apparantly, Ray is well known all over the state of Texas for his ability to fix network issues. So as a result of this, he was invited by a 4 star General, a 3 star General and a 2 star General to breakfast. The 4 star General is the Command General for the 1st Army (1st Infantry Division) and he had heard about Ray through other people and wanted to meet him and talk to him. WOW!!! He has a great time and was awarded a coin.

I will post some pictures of his training so far with the promise of more to come.

On a sad note, Ray's battle buddy lost his 6 year old daughter 2 weeks ago due to health problems. He has decided that with his love for his country and his military family, he will continue to train and deploy with his Brigade. He is still a little lost and not quite himself, but he will pull through. Please keep Sgt. Nichols and his family in your prayers.

With love,
The Bulls

Connor's 5th Birthday

Well, my son is officially 5! You know how people always tell you, "wait until the terrible 2's"? I say HA! to those people. He is soooo opinionated, independent, needy, talkative, pretty sure he knows everything little boy! It's wonderful to see him go through these stages of life, but I have to admit, it's making me a little crazy. Take today for instance. We are at Sams looking at all the new holiday stuff, when all the sudden he looks up at me and says (in a very LOUD voice), "Mom, show me the money"! I thought I was going to have an accident in the store. The lady next to me was laughing so hard she could hardly talk. I know what you are thinking, and no, he has never seen Jerry Maguire. I think this is one of those wonderful things he picked up from school. It's moments like this when I know that everything will be ok and that 19 months really isn't that long!

So Connor has decided that since he had a birthday, he is now entilted to have Happy Birthday sung to him at every meal! Funny, yes! Slightly annoying now, most definatly! So here is a pretty funny video of Connor singing Happy Birthday to me. I will upload pictures of his birthday party soon!

ENJOY!!!
