Kindergarten, here we come!!!

Connor and his teacher Ms Micki
Connor with his award!

Connor getting his medal and diploma from Ms Ginny

It's official. Connor is now a Kindergartener! I can't believe it. The ceremony was really cute. The 2 and 3 yr old classes went in first to sing. They were adorable. Then the 4's came in one by one. It was a Hawaiian themed ceremony so the girls wore grass skirts and the boys wore lei's. They danced and sang, then they went up 1 class at a time and received their "diploma" and their medal with their name on it. My parents drove down just to see Connor and then drove right back home. Connor was really surprised to see them!

I did get it on video, but I have to ask Ray have to upload it. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures.

Wonderful evening with friends!

My best friend lost her stepson this past January in a senseless car accident in Dallas. He was 22. Her husband is having a hard time to say the least. Well, this past Saturday night they held a memorial for him at a sky diving place in Temple. My friend's husband sky dives and 4 days before his son died, he was going to go sky diving with his dad for the very first time.

We drove out with my friend with her 2 boys and Connor. Travis (her 5 yr old) and Connor are good friends and in the same class at school. We got there and saw my friends husband jumping and floating down to the ground! It was really a lot of fun to see the plane take off, then 20 minutes later, see a person emerging from the clouds. We had a chance to talk to some of her stepson's friends, hear stories about him, and watch a very touching tribute to him provided by the funeral home.
The boys ran around for a good 3 hours and let me tell you, boys have a TON of energy! They ended up with orange glow sticks and that just made their night. We drove through McDonald's on our way home and left our friends house around 10:45. Connor was asleep by 11:30 and slept until 10:30!! What a blessing for me!
I am being pressured by my friend's husband to jump, we will see how convincing he can be!

Connor is in the Georgetown newspaper!!!

If you read my previous post, you know that we had Mud Day at school. Well, the newspaper came out to cover it and low and behold, Connor made it on the front page! I bought 2 copies yesterday! He was so excited to see himself in the paper. Off to frame it!
