365

So major fail on my part! I totally forgot that Connor started school today so I was in a mad hurry to get his things together last night. Anyway, here are pictures 364 and 363. Enjoy!

Not sure what the deal is, but he's really into making goofy faces these days!

So this is upside down, but I'm too tired to fix it. I purchased Lightroom last week, as it arrived today! I'm so excited to learn more about this program. Hopefully I can find a class to take around here.

365

So I have decided to start the 365 project. All it is, is me posting one picture everyday of anything. It could be of Connor, my car, something we are doing that day. Then I will write a little something about that picture. I can't wait to see all of these at the end of the year.

So here's my picture for tonight. Connor fought going to sleep for almost an hour, and finally crashed. With his dog no less...

O Christmas Tree....

We had to put our tree up early this year. Like before Thanksgiving early. We were going to be gone for a couple weekends, then Ray had drill one weekend and then we realized it was Christmas. So we had to buy a tree this year and it was absolutely killing Connor that it was sitting in the garage. So up it went!

He's such a great fluffer!

This kid moves quick!

This is the part where we were all trying to slow him down and he somehow kept going faster.

Can you see him? He's plugging everything in and we are still trying to figure out how the tree got up so quick!

And then before we knew it, the whole tree was fluffed.

TA-DA!!!

And here come the ornaments. I love that he looked at every ornament and asked where they came from. It was fun to see him react to some he made 3 or 4 years ago.

Getting closer......

Seriously Lara, stop taking pictures.

Suprisingly enough, they didn't all end up on just one secyion of the tree. He spread them out pretty well this year.

Mom, stop trying to make wonderful memories for me. I mean it!

All finished! Isn't it pretty?

Connor took this moment to put out pur Nativity scene. He's getting it just right.

Which apparently was in a huddle. Lord only knows what these poor guys were thinking....

Gingerbread House

I have to be honest. I hate these things. They break, the icing is too thick, there is never enough candy, etc. But none the less, we buy one every year. This is our second one. Why you ask? Because the first one we bought was cracked. Point made. I started it off while Connor was off doing something else hoping that it would set enough for him to get started. Not a bad start!
So I thought to myself, maybe I should try to make this just like the one on the box. HA! I tried but it was really frustrating! Here's the result of my "artwork".
We're almost there! It's starting to sort of look like the box! I may just pull this off!!
The roof wa sactually the easiest part. I was doing all of the icing and Connor was starting to get slightly irritated. Apparantly, he wanted to do it. Who knew?
See? I'm letting go and letting him take over. He actually did a great job piping the windows.
Georgeous people! I love the way it turned out! Although, the next morning there was some candy missing. I wonder what happened? Darn dogs! :)

<><><><>
He's one proud little guy!

Did you see?

So, what do you think? I am SO loving my new blog, its not even funny. I cant believe she managed to get everything I wanted into and made it look cute all at the same time. I am so behind in posts right now, but I promise to update Christmas this week. Thanks again, Tricia! You rock!!!

Budget beware!

Ah, budgeting. I hate this word. I hate thinking about money and I hate talking about it. But, I think a larger majority of people are turning into couponing and evelope systems.  I take a certain amount each paycheck for groceries,  Ray takes a certain amount out for eating out during the week, and we take out a certain amount and use it for "family fun". I love this, but I hate it so much. I started using the envelope system and it was great, for a minute. Until I went to Target and bought groceries and personal items like shampoo, razors, etc. Then I had to figure out how to seperate my money at the cash register and it turned into a nightmare. So, I gave up. BUT, I just found something that's going to change my life! This wallet is what I've been missing! It's stylish, it zips, it has dividers, and it's completely budget friendly! I just ordered one and I can't wait to get it and try it out. I'm hoping this is the answer to my budget issues and we can start the new year off with a bang!

Giving Thanks

This year, we had A LOT to be thankful for. My brother's girlfriend of 5 years went into cardiac arrest on Nov 9 and was in a medically induced coma. We weren't exactly sure what her outcome would be, but I can tell you now, that we are amazed. She has a difibulator and is restricted, but she's alive! She came out of all of this and is doing so well. She is back home now and getting stronger everyday!

I found a picture in a magazine that put cranberries in a vase with flowers and I LOVE the way it turned out!

SANTA came!!! Who knew he made house calls?!

A really cool puzzle from Santa!

Ah, the clean up process seems to go on forever!

This is what happens when the Cowboys play football these days. :(
